Natural Headlice Remedies - Success Stories
It's actually been well over a year, I believe, since I first discovered NITMIX.
In the middle of the night I was crying and desperately searching the internet for some kind of treatment, besides burning the hair off my children's heads! We had spend months battling lice and I was totally worn out fromt the searching, the picking, the chemical treatments, olive oils, shower caps, and the constant laundering of clothes, hats, coats, scarves, bedding, the never ending cleaning and fumigating of sofas, stuffed animals, blankets, etc, etc, etc. I have never felt so much at the end of my rope. Lice had indeed gotten the better of me.
Then I saw the site for NITMIX and began reading the testimonials. I saw pictures of children who looked happy and normal, and I saw mothers who looked well-rested. I wanted that! I read the instructions about what to do while I waited for my NITMIX. It all seemed so simple, but I was still desperate for reassurance.
By that time I thought it was late enough to call - I forgot they were an hour behind us in Belgium. I called and John answered. It was 7:30am their time! He was eating his breakfast! He didn't seem to mind. Like a kind uncle, he calmly explained everything. I felt like I was at the kitchen table having tea and finally getting the advice that would finally work. By the end of the call, I knew why my methods hadn't worked in the past, how to treat my children with the new NITMIX products, and even what to do while I waited to receive the products. My children would never have to endure hours of picking and harsh chemical treatments again.
Crying tears of relief this time, I went upstairs to wake my husband. I told him that it was all finally over. I was in control again.
We've been using NITMIX for over a year. During the "high season" I comb through their hair with the essential oils about once a month, and I rinse their hair with the rinse about every other hair wash, and spray their hair in between. In the low months, I only rinse their hair with the rinse during hair washes and that's it! I have not had ONE case of lice ever since.
I have told everyone I know about NITMIX. I wouldn't have children in this world without it! I send them to school with confidence. I believe that NITMIX saved me - I was on the verge of cracking up, and NITMIX pulled me back on course. Thank you!

Dear Sir/Madam, I have 3 children, 2 of whom are girls with long hair. In August, we all got a very bad case of lice. I used the usual treatments on all of us, but the lice came back.
I tried another method the 2nd time, but the lice came back.

I just received my order of NitMix today, and I wanted to thank you for your supportive web-site.
I found you out of desperation. After numerous treatments from RID and NIX...
we kept having problems. My oldest daughter has very long curly thick hair, and it was quite difficult to look for nits. I found her in her room crying one day, because I had found yet another louse after our third week of treatments.

Hi John, Just a quick email to say thank you for being a sensible voice amongst the scare mongers on the subject of head lice.
I would like to confirm to anyone else out there with this problem that it is absolutely true that you do not have to put insecticide on you or your child's head to rid your self of this menace and that simple wet combing works. I got rid of my Head Lice in 10 days combing every other day for 30 mins ( I have a lot of hair) and your oil made it a lot easier. I now use the nitmix spray every day before I leave the house and so far so good. I would also like to confirm that I did not change my cleaning routine and did not insecticide the house.

I am so glad that I found your website. My 5-year old daughter picked up headlice from school and I have been battling for the last 4 months to get rid of them. I don't know how much money I spent on various headlice shampoos and rinses and they always came back. Eventually I was afraid to go out in case someone saw a lice running on her head.
More than money, I spent enough time washing her bed linen and vacuuming religiously. All to no avail.
There were many days when I felt that shaving her head was maybe an option (even though she has lovely long blonde hair).

I've been using Nitmix on my daughter's hair for the last two years. I wasn't sure if it was really working until this summer.
Due to an "unfortunate" hair cut and summer months not being the peak season for lice, I had slacked off with the Nitmix routine. I allowed my daughter to use kids shampoos and detanglers and neglected to do the final rinse after shampoo and the daily spray. My daughter woke up one Saturday morning and scratched her head. I took one look and to my displeasure, she had lice again.
My daughter has been in school and around kids that have been infected with lice, only to come home with a clean head. School lice does not seem as daunting now that I am convinced that Nitmix works.
I am now the point of reference for eliminating lice from the neighbourhood and school children's heads. I always recommend Nitmix and will continue to use the product in my household.

Dear John, I just wanted to write and tell you how happy I am with your product. We have been fighting with lice off and on for almost 2 years. My daughter has very thick long hair and it would be agony (literally) for her to sit and endure those never ending nit picking sessions. School is about to start soon and I am so glad I can confidently send her without fear of "that phone call" at work. I will recommend your product to everyone. I only wish that the school systems here in the states were more open minded to your solution. Hi John - No problem. It's not your fault that it got lost in the mail. I am just glad that you were willing to resend it. My daughter likes the smell of it and it using it in the mornings in her spray bottle when she does her hair.
I feel safer knowing I have something that to keep it from happening again. I am also a hair dresser and it makes me so very happy that this is a natural product. The other products they have to put on the hair to get rid of them are so very harsh and her hair just felt terrible afterwards.

Hi, 2 years ago I came across your site and to be honest I was very sceptical about this product. I really did not believe that there was something out there to help preventing lice. I brought some of your Nitmix products before Christmas and may I say how quickly these items were delivered to me. I was at my wits end, my daughter has had lice constantly for months and now my son has also had them on and off. I have used your Nitmix Combing Aid and have been astounded by the results and the amount of lice that it removed in the first go.
However, even though the amount of lice on the head have reduced and I am spraying their heads each morning with the diluted solution of the drops, they are still bringing headlice home. It seems that the school constantly has an outbreak of this, I was just wondering if I was using the product correctly, or if other children are still bringing them into school, I can’t really do much about it, other than keep combing my childrens hair as I have been doing.

Not only is the Nitmix wonderful but the comb is invaluable
and much better than those plastic, worthless combs that come
in the *** kits. With the pleasant-smelling oil and the comb
we have tackled and successfully ended our lice problem.
I also did as your site suggested and stopped cleaning like
a frantic woman and relaxed and just cleaned like I normally
do.
I checked my daughter over this Christmas holiday break daily.
She returned to school lice-free this morning (Jan 3) and I
am confident that we won't have to deal with it again. We are
using the spay as suggested before she leaves the house and
I have also ordered two more bottles.
I found that my daugther not only rid herself of the lice but also had a wonderful hair treatment in the process. Your Nitmix does wonders on dry hair and scalp from winter and I can only imagine how nice it will be during the summer months with hair damage from the sun and pool water. I've paid $30 to have conditioning treatments at our local beauty salon - no more thanks to Nixmix.

I received your products yesterday and used them immediately. It was wonderful. It took out all the tangles which made for easy combing. Even the eggs came out! That's amazing. I've been fighting this battle for years, I have 2 girls. I've tried everything under the sun from products at the store, from the doctors, and on the internet. I was told of NITMIXwhen I was living in Germany. Nits were a huge problem at my daughters school and I caught then off her. I have curly hair and it was a relief to have a product that enabled the fine comb to go through my
curls with out tears!! Much to say my daughter's hair was much more
managable too.

Hello John,I just wanted to let you know that my daughter
passed her lice test at school last week!
She had a case of lice in August and I first used two treatments of RID and
I was not thrilled about using those harsh chemicals on her. I was nervous,
embarrassed and completely unsure what to do. We washed everything in her
room, put her toys away and I found myself becoming completely consumed by
this issue.
I found your product on the internet, read all the stories and
explanations about lice and ordered it immediately. I felt calm. We did
some treatments as recommended and it really was not as painful as the RID
treatment. I did not worry about the harsh chemicals hurting her.
In an effort to keep the lice away, we have added a step in our morning routine, I
spray NITMIX mixed with water on her hair before she leaves for school.
Which is a good habit because there were two instances of lice in her after
school program and she did not get it. Last week was the real test though.
Her school did a lice check and NO LICE!! I contribute this result to your
product and the maintenance program that you offer.
I find that the NITMIX treatment not only gets rid of lice, but also makes her hair soft and

Hi John, Just to let you know, I've used the NITMIX
on my daughter's hair, and it is just as promised in the
brochure. It worked wonderfully. After putting the first
required mixture in her hair, I actually saw the live lice
crawling up to the surface of her hair and picked some out
and combed out the rest after the 15 min. waiting period.

Hey, John, Just had to let you know that after being
excluded from daycare for head lice 16 times, our little
3 yr old student is lice and nit free!!!!!!
We used the sample you sent us on her last Thursday and
followed up this weekend by sending some home with mom.
This morning we checked her and found no lice. We will

Hi John, Thank you for all your advice and Nitmix product.
I took your advice and did the sunflower oil until
the Nitmix arrived and I think that did most of the work.
When the nitmix arrived I used that and found only 1 bug
and 3 nits. Now after every shower we use the 4 drops in
500 ml of water as the final rinse and I'm happy to say we
are now 10 days free of head lice. I still use the nit
comb every other day just to be certain.
I also want to add my daughter has problems with tangles
in her hair and I thought I will never get this nit comb
through her hair, but whatever is in your product, made
the comb go right through.Again, I just want to say thank
you for this wonderful product.
I never order on the internet, but I was at my wits end.
Your product is great and I have been telling all my
friends with young children who have experienced the head
lice problem to contact you if they experience this problem

How wonderful it has been to find such a great product.
Last school year my daughter got head lice and I spent over $75
on the over the counter treatments several times. I treated and
treated and was frustrated beyond words.

NITMIX really is a Godsend! After years of stress & tears trying to
keep my children's heads nit-free, using product after product, I
eventually chanced upon NITMIX whilst searching on the internet.
I used NITMIX for the first time about 9 months ago. Up until then,
we were caught in a vicious circle of nit-infestation! No sooner
had I managed to clear my kids heads of nits than one of them would
bring the little blighters back home again, and away we'd go again,
using treatment after treatment to get rid of them! I cried, the kids
cried, and hour after hour was wasted with washing, combing and leaving
on treatments that just didn't seem to work.
I had almost given up hope of ever finding anything truly effective,
when I found your website. As I was buying it on your site, I wondered, with escalating scepticism, if yet again, I was literally going to be pouring my money down the drain!
I needn't have worried!
With a week or so of first using NITMIX, my kids were nit-free,
itch-free and tear-free!! Even better, they have been ever since! Not
only that ..... I'm considerably wealthier, with not having to fork out
month after month on expensive, ineffective treatments!
NITMIX is very economical (dare I say cheap??) and yet it is
the only one to have kept those dreaded creepy-crawlies away.
I almost feel guilty that, despite you being my shining light at the
end of what was a very long, dark tunnel, I have hardly been a good
customer by re-ordering any more!!
The plain truth is, I haven't needed any more, as your product is so
effective!
I still spray the kid's hair regularly with the dilute NITMIX, and
that is all I have needed to do since the beginning of 2004. I still
have plenty of NITMIX left, and will continue to keep using it as a
repellent in this way as recommended.
My lack of further orders is due only to the unbounded success we
have had in using it!

John, When I have more time I will send a proper thank you letter to
yourselves for finally sorting out a problem we had for about 2 years. We
seem to have tried every other method under the sun, including a lot of
rather unpleasant chemicals. Since using Nitmix over the last year we've
only been troubed once and that was due to us being rather too ralaxed and
forgetting to spray in the morning.
I've recommended Nitmix to friends and relatives from Bristol to Kent and
sent your leaflets to everyone I know who is in the same position.
This has been a pet subject of mine since my daughter first bought home
her new "friends". My initial thoughts of horror changed over the period
to one of acceptance after speaking with Pharmacisits as far afield as
Lands End, Worcester & Kent who all said the same thing that every school
has this problem. There were even some Pharmacists with young children
that have actually given up trying to get rid of the "visitors". Nitmix
was probably about the 7th or 8th product we used and the first that we
had ANY results with but, what perfect results!.
So, thanks again for a wonderful product AND also the calm guidance
given on your website and documentation. The calm and friendly guidance

Hello from Ontario Canada, I thought I would write a quick thank you.
So often these days you hear about a product and wonder,
a) does it work? and b) am I actually going to get it?
I decided to take a chance in January of 2004 and am pleased to tell
you that I received the order in 3 business days and so far it has worked well.
( knock on wood) I just placed my second order for the 2004/2005 school year.
The pure NITMIX when mixed with water and applied as a spray seems
to work well and it smells really nice. My daughter gets comments all the

You said you liked progress reports... so here you
are! I only ordered your products yesterday; your
web information and "what to do in the meantime to get
started" advice has already changed our attitudes and
our lives.
I will spare you the long, drawn-out drama of endless
treatments that didn't work. You know how it is.
Just preparing to use the sunflower oil yesterday, I
was able to explain to my 6-year old daughter that
this was different. No more trying to kill them all,
no more shower caps, chemicals, single nit-picking,
ripping hair out... I told her we were making hair
salad and we would just gliiiiide the little bugs out
and (in a thick, NY accent) FUGGETABOUTIT! She
laughed so hard and the rest of the evening the three
of us (including my 2-year old son) were all saying
FUGGETABOUTIT.
I combed her for 10 minutes and sure enough, there
were 3 adult lice and 1 baby. And we had just used
Nix the night before, and left it in all night, per
the pediatrician's instructions. This was supposed to
be the 7-day follow up treatment and there will still
living things in her hair that I didn't previously
see. I would have thought we were clear until the
next obvious outbreak if it weren't for your website.
I am so happy to finally have the means and education
to break the cycle. This has been consuming our lives
for over a month now.
Now we can get back to being silly and just
fuggetaboutit :-) I'm looking forward to receiving
the product and will diligently do what it takes
without stressing.

I have to say, I've never encountered anyone who sold
a product on the internet that is so personally
involved in the actual solution. It's very refreshing
- there are tons of good people out there still!
After those 2 huge batches of babies in her hair, she
spent the weekend with her father. I was terrified to
look when she got home, for fear that not combing for
3 days would have it all start over again. Surprise -
2 more babies. That's it! I think we may actually be
on the tail end of this thing! Plus, two kids in her
daycare got sent home with lice last week and guess
what! She passed the inspection! That means no new
big guys climbed on board her head. Your products
work! I am so relieved.
No matter what I find on her head, I know we can
handle it and it'll be over with. No more stress,

Dear Sir, I have been meaning to write to you let you know that since
using your product, NITMIX, for nearly a year on my daughter's
hair, she has been free from headlice. Once, appox 8 months ago,
I found a couple of eggs in her hair , but astonishingly not a single
mother lice, these eggs were combed out an no more returned. Before
I would find lice in her hair every month, as well as the mother ones,
and it would take me ages to get them out of her hair and then she would
go to school and catch them again.
Well thankfully your products really do work and she doesn't
catch headlice anymore. I make sure that when she goes to school
her hair is smelling of NITMIX and this keeps them away. Thank you

have made my daughter and I.
I spent 5 months trying to get rid of these critters. My doctor
couldn't help me; my neighbour's advice (a registered nurse) didn't
help. Everything you described about how they seem to like one child's
head more than another was true. My daughter would go to school clean
and when she would come home I'd find one or two of the large lice
on her head. This gave them enough time to start the cycle all over
again.
I had tried 3 different brands of shampoos (which I used reluctantly),
6 treatments, I used olive oil to help me remove the eggs (which helped
greatly in the removal). But they kept coming back. My daughter's
class was a pod of 60 kids. Every day or every other day we would
get a letter that a child had lice. I tried teatree shampoo to keep
them out didn't work.
I will endorse the daily spraying it has kept it out of my daughters
head. A week after using the spray on her head, my daughter
was playing with two friends one was infested like my daughter was
(6 months ago), the other playmate got it, my daughter didn't.
Since then she has been exposed 2 more times and is still clean. I
sent her to brownie camp with confidence.
I have given your wonderful information to several people who have
either gone through or are going through this nightmare. Only one
of these people have tried your product and said it helped. The others
don't wish to listen to me because they thought it was my fault I
couldn't get rid of it. Even after I told them how lice works. Your
site gave me so much valuable information I saw every stage from the
large ones right down to the grains of sand.
I will continue using your product on a daily basis and try my best
to help as many frustrated parents as I can.
I wish your product could be purchased in stores, I feel more parents
would use your product instead of those highly toxic shampoos. I hated
using them knowing what could happen to my daughter's health and well

Wow! I found a
lot more in there than what the eye could see. The almond oil we
were using sure put a dent in them but with your oil and NITMIX it seemed
like a million nits and more bugs just came pouring out.
The school checked my daughters hair yesterday before the NITMIX arrived
and didn't find anything, remember I hadn't used your NITMIX yet only
the almond oil, and the school nurse didn't find anything, however today

Well we got the comb, I like it much better than the smaller one in
pink. I have to say, I'm impressed with your product!!! The bugs are
gone after doing the combing 3 times for my daughter and myself. She

I found things the 1st time combing I had missed the times before. I'm
sure those were the things that reinfested her the 2 other times she
got it back after the chemicals we tried.
I now feel empowered if we ever get this again that I have a product
that will treat it without resorting to chemicals on my childs head.

We only used half the bottle so I have plenty to use if ever the next

a term had nits twice!( I now realise I had actually not got rid of
all of them the first time) I searched on the web and your company came
up thank god!
After speaking to a very nice gentleman on the phone, who made feel
as though there was light at the end of the tunnel! I purchased all
the stuff I needed. As soon as it arrived (which was very quickly) I
got to work &
we haven't looked back since. My eldest hasn't
had them again & thankfully my youngest hasn't had them at all, thanks
to you.
I spray their hair everyday & check it regularly with the nitmix & oil,
we play hairdressers to make it fun & they love it. It's not
upsetting for them there is no horrible smell & no awful chemicals,
it's great. I have given the info to the school as we regulary get letters

I have conquered the problem; I have used the Nitmix and almond
oil. I started on April 25th, and repeated process every three days.
I did last treatment on May 7th, and I found absolutely nothing in my
daughter's head for the first time since she was a year old.
I have sent my mom a print out of how you and your wife got started
and the steps mentioned on how to rid them once and for all. My mom
has a house full and has had the same problems as I.
We never know where they started,
we just knew they never went away.
I lived close to her and together we were battling them every few weeks.
I only have the problem with one child and she has three small children,
two grown children, three grandchildren, a son & daughter-in-law. So,
we would all get together for one bug killing festival.
Now I have moved to NC with my husband who is in the military. We'd
talk by phone about our endless dilema with lice. So I finally
decided
there has to be something I don't know. I am here alone with one
child and still I am battling the lice, my daughter hasn't even started
school yet.
I search the web, read about products and web sites about the life span
of lice and I then found your site. While reading, it just made sense.
Here we are, my mother and I fighting a losing battle and we couldn't
figure out why. Even before I got your product, I was satisfied.

"Hello jon, I thought i would write to let you know how I got on with
the nitmix on my daughters hair.
I cannot believe that i have got
rid of them that easily, it was so simple to use and smelt quite
nice too.
I spray her hair with it every day as there are headlice still in her
class, but touch wood she has not had a return of any unwanted visitors.
I keep checking her hair as i cannot believe it was that easy!! I treated
her every 3 days about 3 or 4 times and her head was clean!! i still
rinse her hair out with it every time her hair is washed to help build
her defense.
I have had a case of headlice in my club last week and the parent is
at the end of their tether. I gave them your web site address and told
them a bit about it and advised them not to go for chemicals which they
have used and it has not worked, they said that it burnt their childs
head!! I said to them it may be linked to her headaches. Any way I hope
they have been in touch.
I have told my boss about your fabulous nitmix and she will

"Hi all at nitmix.com,:), I bought two bottles of each of your product
in the hope that this would be the last time I would have to experiment
and it was. I followed the instructions to the letter, I didn't want
to make any mistakes and give way to the possibility of them coming
back or staying. I applied the nitmix to the almond oil and started
first on my 7 year old daughter.
WOW! I must have found hundreds, I couldn't count them,
with every
stroke I was getting out full eggs, large lice and loads of baby lice.
I must have been at it for half an hour when I was still getting them
out. However my daughter had had enough so I left it determined to do
it again in two days time.
My younger daughter wasn't half as bad and I managed to clear her the
same night. Still following the instructions I reapplied the treatment
to my older daughter and again got out plenty but not as many as the
first time, after a third time she was finally clear, getting out only
four FOUR! I tell you, I have never been able to count them before.
My next step was to get a spray bottle and continue the treatment, after
washing their hair I poured on the treatment and combed just to check,
still clear!!! STILL CLEAR!!! I want to say thank you so much. I was

product, everything stated was true!! Throughout the summer holidays
my 2 daughters were constantly troubled with lice. I usually use Tea
tree oil shampoo+conditioner+fine tooth comb. I thought that was fine
until this infestation! So then I resorted to chemicals, in fact I used
three different nasty treatments which did little.
When I used nitmix and the finer comb I was able to remove with ease

"Nitmix, Last year my teenage daughter got lice after sharing her brush
with others at school. We tried two popular over the counter lice removers.
Neither worked. We took our daughter to the doctor. He prescribed a
stronger removal system. That didn't work either.
All this time I was hating the fact that these

"John: I was also using olive oil and found that the lice were still
alive, but unable to lay eggs. When I used the nitmix system, I found
at least 2 large lice and between 25 to 35 small ones. (And I thought
she was lice free for a few days before receiving the nixmix since I
wasn't finding any eggs).
Your system along with your comb is the only way in my opinion to
