NITMIX
Head lice are tough,
very, very, tough,
you will need to be very, very, determined. This treatment, like any other, needs to be repeated every
three days until your child's hair is free of lice, usually about
two weeks. Killing
nits in the egg stage is just too tough!
KNOCK THEM OUT!
When head lice are present - put 50 drops of "Nit Mix" into your 100 ml
bottle of Sweet Almond or Grapeseed Oil and shake well. Work oil generously into dry
hair, right down to the roots, and scalp, however it is not necessary to use the whole
100 ml for one treatment, just enough to coat your child's hair. The fringe area, nape of the neck and back of
the ears are nits favorite spots. Wrap your child's head and hair in a towel for about 15 minutes - this is very important, the aroma needs this time to
really take effect. Sleepy
nits are easier to dislodge. Whilst actively treating your child for head lice, it is essential
to also follow the daily steps outlined below in Keep them out
to make the hair an unpleasant place for head lice to be, and
prevent any new lice from taking up residence on the days when you are not oiling and combing.
COMB THEM OUT!
After 15 minutes any adult nits are usually senseless and off their guard!
Now is the time to use a fine toothed comb to drag them out. Work your way through all your child's hair, separate
thick hair into bunches if necessary so you don't miss a bit. Keep wiping the comb as you go so that no nits get
the chance to jump back on board. Now shampoo out any remaining oil - apply shampoo to oily hair BEFORE water is added.
KEEP THEM OUT!
Now the bit that really makes a difference, you have got rid of your child's little friends but you don't want them to bring
more home tomorrow. As you wash out the oil put a few drops of NITMIX in the final rinses. Once their hair is free
of head lice, keep them out
by putting four drops of "Nit Mix" into a saucer of water, dip in a hairbrush or comb and run through the hair every day.
Alternatively add 20 drops to a pint of water in a plant spray, shake
well before use and spray through the hair on a daily basis.
ALWAYS put a
few drops of "Nit Mix" in
the last rinse on hair wash nights.( if you blow dry the hair brush "Nit
Mix " in once dry)
As with any preparation we cannot guarantee 100% success, but good luck!
